1875 S/S MPD Twenty Cent - 20C FS-302 - NGC XF40

Offered is an 1875-S/S Liberty Seated Twenty-Cent Piece certified XF40 by NGC and attributed as the desirable FS-302 variety.

This Cherrypickers’ Guide variety combines two distinct features: a repunched S/S mintmark with noticeable rotational separation and a misplaced-date remnant—the upper portion of a misplaced “5” visible in the denticles below the 7. The variety is also cataloged as BF-16 and CONECA RPM-001.

Struck at the San Francisco Mint during the first year of America’s short-lived twenty-cent denomination, this example retains strong XF detail with pleasing, evenly circulated gray surfaces.
